Why DeenPal

Everything a Muslim's Day Needs, Nothing It Doesn't

Five prayers, a page of the Quran, a moment of dhikr. DeenPal puts each of them a tap away and keeps out of the way the rest of the time — no ads, no paywalls, no sign-up.

  • Accurate Prayer Times for Your City

Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha calculated on your phone with the method used in your country, plus Hanafi Asr, the Hijri date and a countdown to the next prayer.

  • The Whole Quran, Read and Recited

All 114 surahs in Arabic, in translation, side by side or as the 604-page Madani Mushaf, offline. Listen to 158 reciters — Mishary Alafasy, Abdul Basit, Sudais and more — and follow the recitation verse by verse.

  • Ask About Islam, Anytime

An AI assistant answers your questions with verses you can open, adapts to your madhab and points you to a local scholar for questions that need a fatwa. Start from 29 daily topics or ask a verse to be explained.

  • Qibla Compass

Hold your phone flat and DeenPal turns the compass towards the Kaaba, with your heading, the Qibla direction and how far you still have to turn — and a clear sign when you are facing it.

  • Athan and Gentle Reminders

Hear the athan, a soft bell or a chime at each prayer, get a reminder 45 minutes before, and in Ramadan a suhur alert, imsak and iftar — with a monthly timetable for your city.

  • Dhikr Counter

Count Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, salawat or your own dhikr with a tap, set a target of 33, 99 or 1,000, and see today's and all-time totals.

  • Widgets and Live Prayer Times

See the next prayer on your home screen and lock screen, keep a daily verse on a widget, and follow the countdown in a Live Activity on iPhone or an ongoing notification on Android.

  • Free, Ad-Free, No Account

Every feature is free and there are no ads. Your notes, bookmarks, prayer log and chats stay on your phone, and prayer times are calculated on the device. Support DeenPal only if you want to.

How It Works

Ready for the Next Prayer in 3 Steps

  1. 1

    Choose Your City

Use your location or pick your city from the list — no location permission is needed for that. DeenPal picks the calculation method used where you live.

  2. 2

    Turn On Reminders

Choose the athan or a softer sound for each prayer and DeenPal lets you know when it is time, even when the app is closed.

  3. 3

Make It Part of Your Day

Tick off each prayer, continue the Quran where you left it, count your dhikr and read the verse of the day — and watch your streak grow.

Contact DeenPal support

Is DeenPal really free?

Yes. Every feature — prayer times, athan, the Quran and its reciters, the Qibla, the dhikr counter, the AI assistant and the widgets — is free, and there are no ads. You can support DeenPal with a voluntary contribution, but it unlocks nothing; the app stays the same either way.

How are the prayer times calculated?

On your phone, from your city's coordinates, with the calculation method used in your country — for example Diyanet in Türkiye, Umm Al-Qura in Saudi Arabia or ISNA in North America. You can change the method and switch Asr to the Hanafi time in settings. Times can differ by a minute or two from your local mosque's timetable.

Do I need to share my location?

No. You can choose your city from the list instead, and no location permission is needed for that. If you do use your location, it is used on your phone to calculate prayer times and the Qibla; it is not sent to us.

Which reciters and translations are there?

158 reciters, including Mishary Alafasy, Abdul Basit, Abdur-Rahman as-Sudais, Saud ash-Shuraim and Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi. The translation follows your app language, and you can read in Arabic, in translation, both together or in the Madani Mushaf.

Can I rely on the AI assistant's answers?

Use it to learn and reflect, not as a fatwa. It is asked never to invent sources, to link the verses it quotes and to send questions that need a ruling to a local scholar — but AI can still be wrong, so check anything important with a scholar you trust.

Do I need an account?

No. DeenPal has no sign-up. Your notes, bookmarks, highlights, prayer log and chat history are stored only on your phone, and you can turn on incognito mode so a chat is not saved at all.
